Formula
Timed: Score = 155 + 15 × (Level − 2) + 15 × affix steps + 15 × min(Time saved ÷ 40%, 1); Rating = Σ best score per dungeon
- Level
- the keystone level, such as 12 for a +12
- affix steps
- how many of the levels +5, +7, +10 and +12 the key has reached (0 to 4)
- Time saved
- how far under the dungeon timer you finished, as a share of the timer
- Rating
- your overall Mythic+ rating, the sum of your best score in each dungeon of the season
What the Mythic Plus score calculator does
In World of Warcraft, every timed or completed Mythic+ keystone earns a dungeon score, and your overall Mythic+ rating is the sum of your best score in each dungeon of the season. This mythic plus score calculator does the three sums players care about: the score one run is worth, the rating your current bests add up to, and the key level you need everywhere to reach a target such as 2,000, 3,000 or Keystone Myth.
Unofficial fan tool: not affiliated with or endorsed by Blizzard Entertainment. Game data last checked: October 2026 (Midnight Season 2).
How to use the calculator
- Score for a run. Enter the keystone level, the dungeon timer in minutes and your finishing time. The result shows the dungeon score, split into key-level points and the time bonus or penalty.
- Overall rating. Paste your best score from each dungeon, separated by commas. Add a target rating to see how far you have to go.
- Keys for a target. Enter the rating you want. The calculator divides it across the 8 dungeons and finds the lowest key level that gets there when timed, with and without the full time bonus.
Each mode has a Scoring rules option. Leave it on the current season, or pick Custom to enter new numbers if a patch changes them.
How Mythic+ score is calculated
Blizzard does not publish the formula, so the numbers here come from real runs. Raider.IO reports the in-game score for each run, and the rules below reproduce several hundred Midnight Season 2 runs to within 0.1 point.
Key-level points
A timed +2 is worth 155. Each level above +2 adds 15. On top of that, four affix steps add 15 each, at +5, +7, +10 and +12. So a timed +12 is 155 + 15 × 10 + 15 × 4 = 365.
Time bonus
Finishing under the timer adds up to 15 points. The bonus grows in a straight line from 0 at the timer to 15 at 40% under it, and stops there.
Over-time runs
A run that misses the timer still counts, at a lower value. Key levels above +10 stop counting (the affix steps still do), 15 points come off, and up to 15 more come off in a straight line as you go further over. At 40% over the timer, the run is worth nothing.
A worked example
A +15 on a 35-minute timer finished in 31:30:
- Time used = 31.5 ÷ 35 = 90% of the timer, so 10% saved.
- Key-level points = 155 + 15 × 13 + 15 × 4 = 410.
- Time bonus = 10% ÷ 40% × 15 = 3.75.
- Dungeon score = 410 + 3.75 = 413.75, shown as 413.8.
If the same group had needed 42 minutes (20% over the timer) on a +13 with the same 35-minute timer: levels count up to +10, so 155 + 15 × 8 + 15 × 4 = 335, minus 15 = 320, minus 20% ÷ 40% × 15 = 7.5, which leaves 312.5.
Mythic+ rating by key level
Scores for timing the same key level in every dungeon. Over-time scores assume a run 20% over the timer.
| Key | Timed at the limit | 40% under the timer | Rating (8 dungeons, at the limit) | 20% over the timer |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| +2 | 155 | 170 | 1,240 | 132.5 |
| +5 | 215 | 230 | 1,720 | 192.5 |
| +7 | 260 | 275 | 2,080 | 237.5 |
| +10 | 320 | 335 | 2,560 | 297.5 |
| +12 | 365 | 380 | 2,920 | 312.5 |
| +14 | 395 | 410 | 3,160 | 312.5 |
| +16 | 425 | 440 | 3,400 | 312.5 |
| +18 | 455 | 470 | 3,640 | 312.5 |
| +20 | 485 | 500 | 3,880 | 312.5 |
Two patterns stand out. The affix steps make +5, +7, +10 and +12 worth 30 points over the key below them instead of 15, so those levels are the best value. And above +12 an over-time run is stuck at about 312 to 320, so it rarely helps once you are pushing high keys.
Real-life uses
- Picking the next key. Check whether timing a +11 or a faster +10 adds more to a dungeon.
- Rating goals. See which key level gets you to 1,500, 2,000 or 3,000, the ratings Blizzard ties to this season’s title and mount rewards.
- Choosing which dungeon to push. Raise your weakest dungeon first; every dungeon counts the same.
- Checking a run. Compare the score here with the game or Raider.IO to see how much the time bonus mattered.
Common mistakes
- Adding up every run. Only your best run in each dungeon counts. A second timed +10 in the same dungeon adds nothing.
- Ignoring the time bonus. It is worth up to a full key level, so a fast run can beat a slow run one level higher.
- Pushing over-time runs above +12. They score about 320 at most, below a timed +11.
- Using last season’s numbers. The constants change between expansions and seasons. Check the date on the calculator and switch to Custom rules if a patch changes them.
Glossary
- Keystone level: the difficulty of the key, shown as +2, +3 and up.
- Timer (par time): the time limit for the dungeon at that key.
- Affix step: a key level where a new affix is added and the score jumps 15 more.
- Depleted or over-time key: a run finished after the timer.
- Mythic+ rating: your overall score, the sum of your best run in each dungeon.
Worked examples
A +14 timed with time to spare
A +14 on a 30-minute timer finished in 25:30, 15% under the timer.
Inputs (Score for a run): Keystone level = +14; Dungeon timer = 30 min; Your time: minutes = 25 min; Your time: seconds = 30 s; Scoring rules = Midnight Season 2 (checked October 2026)
Time used = 25:30 ÷ 30:00 = 85% of the timer Key points = 155 + 15 × (14 − 2) + 4 affix steps × 15 = 395 Time bonus = min(15% ÷ 40%, 1) × 15 = +5.63 Score = 395 + 5.63 = 400.6
Answer: A +14 finished in 25:30 on a 30:00 timer (timed with 4:30 to spare) is worth 400.6 dungeon score.
A +9 that ran over
A +9 on a 32-minute timer that took 35:12, 10% over the timer.
Inputs (Score for a run): Keystone level = +9; Dungeon timer = 32 min; Your time: minutes = 35 min; Your time: seconds = 12 s; Scoring rules = Midnight Season 2 (checked October 2026)
Time used = 35:12 ÷ 32:00 = 110% of the timer Over time: key points counted up to +9: 155 + 15 × (9 − 2) + affix points − 15 = 275 Over-time penalty = 10% ÷ 40% × 15 = −3.75; score = 271.3
Answer: A +9 finished in 35:12 on a 32:00 timer (over time by 3:12) is worth 271.3 dungeon score.
Adding up eight dungeons
Best scores from all eight Season 2 dungeons added together.
Inputs (Overall rating): Best score in each dungeon = 402.5, 398, 391.4, 388, 371.6, 369.9, 352, 337.3
Rating = 402.5 + 398 + 391.4 + 388 + 371.6 + 369.9 + 352 + 337.3 = 3,010.7
Answer: Best dungeon scores 402.5, 398, 391.4, 388, 371.6, 369.9, 352, 337.3 add up to a Mythic+ rating of 3,010.7.
Key level for a 2,000 rating
The key level to time in all eight dungeons for a 2,000 rating.
Inputs (Keys for a target): Target rating = 2000; Dungeons in the season = 8; Scoring rules = Midnight Season 2 (checked October 2026)
Per dungeon = 2,000 ÷ 8 = 250 Timed +7 = 155 + 15 × (7 − 2) + affix points 30 = 260
Answer: For a 2,000 rating you need about 250 per dungeon: time a +7 in all 8 dungeons (or a +7 with the full time bonus).
A run 40% over the timer
Edge case: 42:00 on a 30-minute timer is 40% over, which scores nothing.
Inputs (Score for a run): Keystone level = +16; Dungeon timer = 30 min; Your time: minutes = 42 min; Your time: seconds = 0 s; Scoring rules = Midnight Season 2 (checked October 2026)
Time used = 42:00 ÷ 30:00 = 140% of the timer Over time: key points counted up to +10: 155 + 15 × (10 − 2) + affix points − 15 = 320 40% over the timer is 40% or more, so the run scores 0
Answer: A +16 finished in 42:00 on a 30:00 timer (too far over the timer to score) is worth 0 dungeon score.
Assumptions and limitations
- Unofficial fan tool. Not affiliated with or endorsed by Blizzard Entertainment or Raider.IO. World of Warcraft is a trademark of Blizzard Entertainment. Game data last checked October 2026 (Midnight Season 2).
- Blizzard does not publish the rating formula. The constants were fitted to several hundred Midnight Season 2 runs whose in-game scores Raider.IO reports (keys +2 to +22, timed and over time), and every one matched to within 0.1 point.
- Timed runs score 155 for a +2, 15 more per level, 15 more at each of +5, +7, +10 and +12, plus a time bonus that grows in a straight line to 15 points at 40% under the timer.
- Runs over the timer count key levels only up to +10 (the affix steps still count), lose 15 points, then lose up to 15 more in a straight line to 40% over; 40% or more over scores 0. This rule was inferred from the data, mainly from keys +10 and higher.
- Overall rating is the sum of your single best score in each of the season's 8 dungeons. Scores are shown to one decimal; the game rounds the total for display.
- If a later patch changes the numbers, choose Custom scoring rules and enter the new values.
Frequently asked questions
How is Mythic+ rating calculated?
Each dungeon counts your best run. A timed key scores 155 for a +2, plus 15 per level above +2, plus 15 at each of +5, +7, +10 and +12, plus up to 15 for speed. Your overall rating is those eight best scores added together.
How much rating is a +10 worth?
A +10 timed right at the limit is worth 320 dungeon score, and up to 335 if you finish 40% or more under the timer. Timed in all eight dungeons, that is 2,560 to 2,680 rating.
How do I get 2000 Mythic+ rating?
You need an average of 250 per dungeon. A timed +7 scores at least 260, so timing a +7 in all eight dungeons gives 2,080 rating.
How do I get 3000 Mythic+ rating?
3,000 needs 375 per dungeon. A +13 timed at the limit gives 380, so timing +13 everywhere is enough. A +12 can also do it if you finish about 27% or more under the timer, since that adds 10 points to its 365.
Does a depleted key lower my rating?
No. Only your best run in each dungeon counts, so a weaker or over-time run never replaces a better one. An over-time run only helps if it beats your current best in that dungeon.
How much does finishing faster add to my score?
Up to 15 points per dungeon. The bonus grows evenly from 0 at the timer to 15 at 40% under it, so finishing 20% under adds 7.5 points. Going faster than 40% under adds nothing more.
What rating do I need for Keystone Myth in Season 2?
Patch 12.1.5 set Keystone Myth for Midnight Season 2 at 3,600 rating. That is 450 per dungeon, which a timed +18 reaches in every dungeon, or a +17 finished about 27% under the timer.
